Budget Spree is built with your privacy in mind. Your shopping data stays on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.

What We Collect
Budget Spree stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your browser.
- ✓ Tracked items — product name, price, store, URL, and image you add via the extension.
- ✓ Budget settings — your monthly budget amount, tax rate, and shipping estimate.
- ✓ Manual entries — items you add manually (name, price, store, category, notes).
- ✓ Monthly item count — a count of items added this month to enforce the free tier limit. Resets on the 1st of each month.
- ✓ PRO status — whether your account has an active paid subscription (managed by ExtensionPay).
All of the above is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to any server, shared with third parties, or accessible to anyone but you.

What We Do Not Collect
Budget Spree does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- ✕ Your name, email address, or any personal identification
- ✕ Your browsing history or pages you visit outside of supported shopping sites
- ✕ Credit card numbers, bank details, or payment information of any kind
- ✕ Passwords, login credentials, or authentication tokens
- ✕ Location data, IP address, or device identifiers
- ✕ Analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
- ✕ Any data from websites you visit that are not in Budget Spree's supported store list

Local Storage Only
All data saved by Budget Spree is stored exclusively in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device. This means:
- ✓ Your data is never sent to our servers or any external server.
- ✓ Your data is not synced across devices via Chrome Sync.
- ✓ Uninstalling Budget Spree removes all stored data permanently.
- ✓ You can clear all data at any time from the Settings page within the extension.

Payments & Subscriptions
Budget Spree PRO subscriptions are processed through ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe as its payment processor. When you upgrade to PRO:
- ✓ Payment is handled entirely by ExtensionPay and Stripe — Budget Spree never sees or stores your payment details.
- ✓ Your billing email and subscription status are managed by ExtensionPay.
- ✓ Budget Spree only receives a boolean confirmation that your subscription is active.

Amazon Affiliate Links
Budget Spree participates in the Amazon Associates Program. When you add an Amazon product to your budget list, the product URL may include an affiliate tracking code.
If you later visit that product URL and make a purchase on Amazon, Budget Spree may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This helps support the development and maintenance of Budget Spree.

Chrome Permissions Explained
Budget Spree requests the following Chrome permissions and uses them solely as described:
- ✓ storage — to save your budget list, settings, and PRO status locally on your device.
- ✓ alarms — to reset the monthly item counter on the 1st of each month.
- ✓ Host permissions (supported stores) — to inject the "Add to Budget Spree" button and read product name/price/image on product pages of the 8 supported stores only. Budget Spree does not read content from any other websites.
- ✓ extensionpay.com — to receive payment confirmation from ExtensionPay after a successful subscription purchase.

Third-Party Services
Budget Spree interacts with the following third-party services in limited ways:
- ✓ Google Fonts — the extension's settings page loads fonts from Google Fonts for display purposes. This is subject to Google's privacy policy.
- ✓ ExtensionPay — for PRO subscription management. No data is shared beyond what is necessary to verify your subscription status.
- ✓ Amazon Associates — affiliate link tagging on Amazon product URLs you add. No personal data is shared with Amazon by Budget Spree.
Budget Spree does not use any advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics services.

Children's Privacy
Budget Spree is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the extension, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Budget Spree after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
